Sometimes, you may need to temporarily pause an email campaign to make adjustments, address changes in your outreach strategy, or manage sending limits. The Pause Campaign feature in Overjoy allows you to halt campaign activity without losing your progress or settings. Follow this guide to learn how to pause a campaign step by step.
Below is a helpful video overview of the feature to get you started:
Step 1: Navigate to the Campaigns Dashboard
Log in to your Overjoy account and go to the Campaigns section from the main dashboard.
Locate the campaign you wish to pause from the list of active campaigns.
Step 2: Select the Campaign to Pause
Click on the campaign name to open the campaign details page.
Review the campaign overview, including performance metrics and email sequences, to confirm it is the campaign you want to pause.
Step 3: Pause the Campaign
Locate the Pause Campaign button, usually found at the top right corner of the campaign details page.
Click on the button to initiate the pause.
A notification at the top-right will confirm that the campaign was paused successfully.
Step 4: Resume the Campaign (Optional)
When you’re ready to restart the campaign, navigate back to the campaign details page.
Click the Resume Campaign button, which replaces the pause option.
Confirm the resume action to restart the campaign from where it was paused.
Best Practices
Communicate with Your Team: If multiple users manage campaigns, ensure everyone knows why a campaign is paused.
Pause Strategically: Use the pause feature to make edits or address temporary issues without affecting long-term strategy.
Monitor Performance: After resuming a campaign, review performance metrics to ensure it aligns with your outreach goals.
