If you’re using an Outlook email address through GoDaddy and can’t integrate it with Overjoy, it might be due to your DNS settings. GoDaddy sometimes needs extra configuration to ensure Outlook emails route correctly.
If you follow the steps in this help document correctly, you should be able to sync your email on Overjoy using Microsoft OAuth.
Updating GoDaddy DNS Settings for Outlook Integration
Log in to GoDaddy: Go to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio and select the domain you’re using for your Outlook email and then click DNS. Then click Add New Record.
Add MX Record: Look for the option to add a new DNS record, and enter the following details:
Host | Priority | Target |
@ | 0 | [yourdomain-with-dots-replaced-by-dashes].mail.protection.outlook.com |
Example: domain is boutique.com -> boutique-com.mail.protection.outlook.com
Add TXT Record: While still in the DNS settings, add a TXT record with the following details:
Name | TXT Value |
@ | v=spf1 include:secureserver.net -all |
Save Changes: After entering these records, save your changes and allow some time for them to propagate.
[Optional]: Verify DNS Propagation: Use this DNS checker to confirm the records have been updated. Enter your domain, and look for the MX and TXT records to ensure they’re set up correctly.
